Jesus said to St. Faustina: "Most dear to me is the soul that strongly believes in my goodness and has complete trust in me. I heap my confidence upon it and give it all it asks."

Pax Christi (meaning Peace of Christ) is the worldwide Catholic peace and justice movement, rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and inspired by Gospel non-violence. Pax Christi International originated in 1945 at the end of WW II when French & German Catholics came together to pray for peace and reconciliation.
Pax Christi USA, founded in 1972, celebrates their 50th year anniversary this year (2022). Fr. Jim Gower, a navy veteran who served in WW II founded Pax Christi Maine in 1980. Priorities include the spirituality of nonviolence & peacemaking, disarmament, economic & racial justice, human rights & care for creation.
Our local Bangor area group meets twice per month (currently on Zoom) on Sunday evenings from 7:00 – 8:15 pm. Group members determine the focus of the local group, with a goal of deepening our understanding and practice of Christian non-violence in our daily lives. We focus on spiritual books, Papal encyclicals, podcasts, prayer, reflection, and social actions. The statewide group hosts ‘mini’ retreats every two months.
All are welcome! For more information: paxchristi-maine.org
Rosary Rallies are held periodically in our Parish with help from America Needs Fatima (ANF), who provide posters and programs. By praying the rosary together publicly, we testify in a more powerful way to our Catholic faith in God through Our Lady’s intercession.
It usually takes one hour to pray on a Saturday, starting promptly at 12 noon in honor of the time of the Miracle of the Sun at Our Lady’s apparition at Fatima. We are praying at the same time as other ANF rallies around the country and world. All are invited to come pray the rosary with us.
For our next planned Rosary Rally, please see our Calendar.
Join fellow parishioners concerned about loved ones who are not living out their Catholic faith. We pray the Glorious Mysteries on the FIRST Wednesday of the month from 9:30-10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church hall and spend a few moments in front of Jesus, present in the Tabernacle.
